CBUS Restaurant of the Month: Two Dollar Radio Headquarters

Welcome to my first restaurant of the month blog post! To kick off 2019, I’m bringing you an up and coming Columbus hotspot: Two Dollar Radio Headquarters.

Two Dollar Radio Headquarters opened on Parsons Ave in 2017. The laid-back, indie café features an all vegan menu as well as locally published books! Additionally, there are weekly brunches, the occasional pizza party and multiple book clubs for you to join. What more could you want to do this month in Columbus?

Walking in, there was an overall calming vibe. Two Dollar Radio HQ is the perfect place to grab a quick bite and relax. The menu is updated quite frequently and also features other local brands such as Lucky Cat Bakery, Doughasis, and Koki’s Tortillas.

When I went earlier in 2018, I grabbed a version of their buffalo chicken Sammy and a fresh cinnamon bun. I found the menu very different from what’s available at most vegan restaurants in Columbus and can’t wait to head back soon.

Not only can you buy some bomb vegan food, but when you swing by the storefront, you can also support local writers! With the rise of indie companies over the last decade, Two Dollar Radio publishes both print media and films. The company has also launched Flyover Fest, which features a variety of Midwest art and performances.

Takeaway message: HQ is just too loud to ignore
